MANAGING DIRECTOR

How we do what we do.

Whitesurf Developments Inc. is an entrepreneurial company specializing in starting and managing new enterprises. We are long-term investors in and managers of our core businesses.

We are a Barbados-based company with international clients and partners.

Our team of serial entrepreneurs  stands alongside our partners in taking and managing risks. We maintain active roles in all the businesses we work to develop. Our clients are our partners. We are compensated on a 100 percent performance basis: no performance, no compensation. We develop, finance and manage these enterprise while retaining either an ownership stake, a long-term management role, or both.

We are leaders in the development of businesses that address real problems: problems where technological innovation and hands-on management can make a difference to the business, the employees, and the community.

For greenfield opportunities, Whitesurf defines a business need and then works to develop a company that responds to that demand.  We originate or evaluate ideas, prepare business plans and feasibility studies, raise financing, and  oversee construction. For existing companies, we assess needs and opportunities, make strategic investments, and take management positions or an oversight role to build that company.

We are not start-up-and-flip PE investors — we are grow-and-hold investors. We are not a consulting firm; we are sweat equity and capital developers and investors. We do not work for a fee; we work for an ownership stake and also invest our own capital.

We believe in the long-term viability of these businesses and the benefits they provide to all stakeholders. We seek to balance employment with automation and profits with environmental sustainability. We give back to the community and we re-invest our capital and effort.

Core areas of competency include: feasibility studies, management plans, management by shoe  leather, raising finance, and managing operations.
